10% of Sales Donated to Water Protectors

Oil Boom by Chemehuevi photographer, Cara Romero.

We are standing in solidarity with Standing Rock by donating 10% of our profits now through Monday, Nov. 28. These donations provide the financial support needed to help protect the right to clean water and preserve indigenous land through efforts to prevent the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline.

18K Gold and Chalcedony Pendant Necklace by Maria Samora

Maria Samora focuses on strong shapes enhanced with subtle textures and patinas, using the tonal play of mixed metals to add contrast and dimension. With the technical expertise to execute even the most sophisticated designs, Samora creates comfortable, durable pieces while striving to make her designs ever more timeless and elemental.

18K Gold and Diamond "Mirror" Necklace by Maria Samora

Early in her career, Samora began a rigorous apprenticeship with Phil Poirier, a world-renowned craftsman. Here she learned the techniques and methodologies that she uses today. Her designs don't follow the usual strictures of sketching on paper. Instead, her approach demands a more intuitive process. Her designs stem from the hands-on manipulation of the stones and metals, textures and patinas. Backed by a passion for Renaissance, Byzantine, and ancient jewelry, she shapes her inspirations and ideas directly into highly original works of striking beauty.

Visiting Santa Fe for Indian Market is always one of the highlights of our year. Artists, collectors, and dealers from all over the world come together for two weeks of events showcasing the finest in Native American and tribal art. We had a wonderful time visiting with old friends, making new acquaintances, and acquiring beautiful new work for the gallery.
